5 Great Cheap Webhosting Companies
When you’re looking for an inexpensive host for your simple small business website, it can be tiresome to try to figure out the differences between hosts. Mostly, you just need a straightforward, reliable, cost-effective solution so that you can turn back to more important things.
The problem is, all of them seem to offer the same things: unlimited space and email accounts, a free site builder, loads of templates, etc. So, how do you tell the difference?
We’re hoping Review Signal is the answer.
Review Signal is a site dedicated to cleaning up the quality of host reviews, and to elevating those hosts that actually provide solid value, based on those reviews. The reviews take into account support, price, and uptime to generate a total score.
Assuming the reviews are legit, you should check out the following five highly-rated hosts:
1. A Small Orange
A host with one of the best support ratings available on Review Signal only costs $35 each year. Sign us up! You probably can’t go wrong, here, if you’re going to need a lot of help with your site, and the starting prices are quite competitive.
2. SiteGround
Who has the web’s best uptime, according to Review Signal? SiteGround! (GoDaddy was a close second). If accessibility is absolutely critical at all times, this host may be your best bet.
3. LiquidWeb
LiquidWeb is right there with A Small Orange, in terms of support. The company’s price rating is also one of the highest, so you can expect good value from this host. Note, however, that the cost of LiquidWeb hosting is higher than with other providers that compete mainly on price.
4. HostGator
HostGator is one of the leading providers of web hosting. If you anticipate that your needs may scale up, soon, HostGator likely has the resources to cover you for the long run and then some.
5. HostDime
With a wealth of service options and Review Signal’s fifth-highest overall rating, HostDime is a solid buy. Plans start at $14.95/month, however, so this isn’t a bargain basement host for those that care about cost and nothing else.
Other “blue chip” providers out there include GoDaddy, DreamHost, and BlueHost, but these providers have not done as well with Review Signal’s users. For those with simple site needs and a bit of tech savvy, however, those providers are probably fine. But for those that will need extra help, it may pay to go with a provider whose support rating is a bit higher.
